My Go-To Prep Products

Here is a quick and simple breakdown of my favourite Go-To products for starting your furniture transformation!

Although I am going to list off a whole bunch of options, you don’t need every single one. If you check out my other blog on how to paint furniture, you will get a good idea of what you will need for your specific project! For example, if you are only painting a piece, you will not need to get a furniture stripper. Sandpaper and a sanding block will work just fine! If you want exposed wood grain, you may want to invest in a palm sander or furniture stripper.

Cleaning:

1. Lint Free cloths

2. TSP Alternative

Sanding

1. Carbide Scraper

2. Wood Filler or Bondo

3. Orbital Sander or Sanding Block

4. Sand Paper Sheets

   • Festool Sand paper replacements

Priming

1. Ultra Grip - for non wood surfaces

2. Sponges (Dollar Store are fine)

3. Primer (only if wood bleeds)
